Now that summer has arrived and we are having more and more get-togethers, these barbecue pulled chicken sandwiches are a standby in our home. I love that you can make large quantities of them with relatively little effort, and that you don’t have to turn your kitchen into a furnace since they cook up wonderfully in the crock pot!
Barbecue Pulled Chicken Sandwiches
For this recipe, you will need:
6 chicken breasts
½ cup brown sugar
1/3 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
2 teaspoons chopped garlic
8 oz can tomato sauce
Place chicken in crock pot and mix brown sugar, soy sauce, tomato sauce, and garlic together, then pour over chicken. Cook on high for about 4 hours. Carefully shred hot chicken with two forks and serve on buns with your favorite BBQ sauce (we also love to serve it with horseradish sauce)! Mmm Mmm Mmm! 🙂
