This fluffy pudding pie is one of my family’s favorite desserts, which is almost comical, because it’s easy enough for the kids to make! All of my husband’s siblings love it, too, so it is a staple at our Christmastime dessert table!
Christmastime won’t come around for a while this year, but another pie-eating event is coming very soon: March 14th is Pi Day! I tried explaining this to my five year old, and he just gave a blank stare. When I got to the “Let’s make a pie!” part, though, he was on board faster than I could put on my apron! He dragged a kitchen chair over to the fridge, swung it open and asked with urgency, “What do we need?!”
Well, let us show you!
For this recipe, you will need:
1 ¾ cup milk
2 (3.4oz) packages instant chocolate pudding
1 (8oz) tub Light Cool Whip – thawed (You will need a little extra if you wish to garnish the top)
Pre-made graham cracker pie crust
Mini chocolate chips or other small candies for garnish – if desired
Pour milk into a large mixing bowl. Add pudding mixes and beat until smooth (mixture will be very thick). Stir whipped cream into pudding mixture until thoroughly combined.
Spoon pie mixture into crust and smooth out the top.
Refrigerate for a few hours to let set, then garnish with more Cool Whip and candies (if desired)!
That’s it! Easy as pie, right?
