These Minnie Mouse Balloons are quick, easy, and inexpensive to make and -most importantly- really cute! When planning a party, I try to come up with fabulous-yet-inexpensive decorations. That way, I can spend my money on other things -like party favors and delicious food- instead of overpriced paper goods that just end up in the garbage.
I think balloons are a great way to dress up any party, but ever since my neighborhood dollar store closed their doors, I haven’t had an inexpensive option for traditional balloon bouquets. To turn a frown upside down, I have put my mind to creating unique helium-free balloon décor, and I have enjoyed thinking of fun ways to create them! I hope these Minnie Mouse Balloons add the sparkle you are looking for, and I will be sure to share more of my balloon creations in the future!
Minnie Mouse Balloons
For this project, you will need:
Black balloons
Black card stock
Tape
Scissors
Pink or black polka dotted wired ribbon
Ribbon for hanging (if desired)
Start by cutting as many 4 inch circles out of black paper as you will need (making sure to have two for each balloon).
Cut a 17-inch piece of ribbon and lay it out flat, folding one end into the center.
Fold the other end over (this should be longer than the first fold) and bend the ribbon back to the center, then wrap around to form a bow. Lastly, glue the end in place.
Blow up your balloons and make a small flap on each black circle, then tape one on each side of a balloon to form ears! Tape your bow right in the center and tie a ribbon from the balloon stem to hang!

Those are so clever! My kids are older now but I have several friends with little girls who I know would absolutely love these. I’m definitely sharing this with them.
Thank you! I hope they love them as much as my daughter does!
This is such a cute idea! And so simple to make. I will definitely have to keep these in mind for upcoming birthday parties and baby showers!
