Head back to school in style with these DIY Notebooks, or make an inspirational handmade journal as a gift for a friend!
My Son and I created these fun notebooks this week to gear up for preschool! He is excited to use all of his new school supplies, and is eager to learn new things! He also loves to craft, and this decoupage notebook DIY was the perfect excuse to use his new safety scissors! This project gave us a fun way to use the glitter and stickable gems we received from Craft Project Ideas, too (the ones my daughter didn’t use as stick-on earrings, that is)! Scroll along and let us show you how we created these fun notebooks below!
For this project, you will need:
Elmer’s glue or Mod Podge
Embellishments (I used these ones from Craft Project Ideas!)

Start by looking through your magazines to come up with a theme for your cover!
Once you have enough images to cover the front, lay them out and cut them down to size, keeping in mind that a little overlap can be good!
Spread a thin layer of Mod Podge or glue mix (about 2 parts glue to one part water) over the book, and gently adhere the images! Allow to dry for a bit, then brush on a thin layer over the top of all your images!
Add glitter, rhinestones, stickers, or embellishments as desired and allow the cover to dry completely!
I hope this fun and easy DIY Notebook puts a little pep in your back to school prep! I would love your help in spreading the love for these personalized notebooks through the social sharing buttons bellow; please share away!
