Over the years, I have fallen genuinely in love with the fall season! Cozy sweaters, warm apple cider, the sound of dried leaves crunching underfoot, and the anticipation of the holiday season make me feel warm and fuzzy inside! With the official start of fall coming tomorrow, I am excited to share this beautiful fall DIY with you! The warm colors and hint of shimmer make this project the perfect touch to add a warm festive fall vibe to your home!
I love to change out décor for the seasons, but I tend to keep it simple due to time and cost (and kids)! Home décor can really add up, which is one of the reasons I have started making my own seasonal decorations! I also enjoy dreaming up and trying out new ideas, so it’s a win-win! The photo at the top of this post displays a little corner in our home that I tend to change with the seasons. Come Christmastime, the table will be replaced by the Christmas tree, and at Valentine’s Day, there will be new decorations, and on and on -you get the idea! We love to celebrate, and I have really enjoyed having an ever-changing nook in the living room to express my love of the holidays!
If you have been following along with me for very long, you’re sure to have seen that Jesus is my truest and deepest source of joy, and this joy is the inspiration behind the Fall In Love With Jesus printable for this wall hanging! I hope creating your own inspirational work of art will bring you joy, too!
Fall Wall Decor
For this project, you will need:
A 12×10 or similar size frame with a back
Sparkly tool or material of your choice
Paper or cardstock
Start by printing the Fall in Love with Jesus Printable on your paper and set it aside.
Remove the back and glass from the frame (watch out for your fingers!). IDEA: If your frame has a big enough opening, you could leave the glass in place for a shadow box look! I picked mine up at a yard sale and it didn’t come with any glass, so my choice was easy! 🙂 Now lay the tool over the back piece and wrap it around the edges. Glue down and cut away any excess material.
Turn your newly-covered back so the material faces up, then center the printable, gluing it down with a small amount of glue in each corner.
Lay out your leaves and embellishments to your hearts content and glue down.
Now find the perfect spot to hang your beautiful creation!
Happy Fall, friends! I encourage you to fill it with joy and make wonderful memories!
